Why view a warehouse virtually?

Photos show individual racks, gates or areas, but rarely their spatial context. A virtual tour makes routes, zones and transitions comprehensible and creates a shared basis for operators, planners, service providers and prospects.

Typical use cases

  • Pre-qualification of rental or purchase prospects
  • Coordination of area layout, traffic routes and handover zones
  • Preparation of conversions, fit-outs and technical services
  • Documentation of vacancy, handover or project stages
  • Location-independent viewing by owners and project partners

How the digital capture works

  1. Define the purpose, audience and approved areas.
  2. Adapt the capture time and route to operations and safety requirements.
  3. Capture the warehouse systematically with sufficiently overlapping images.
  4. Review the representation, navigation and sensitive content.
  5. Provide the tour via an agreed access.

Capture and updating

The first capture is carried out by a partner on site – free of charge and without conditions. If a single area changes later, a smartphone capture is enough and is merged into the existing 3D model. Existing plans are included when an application requires more than visual orientation.

Value for different audiences

Logistics teams gain a shared spatial context for operations and change. Developers can better explain planning stages. Landlords and sellers enable a well-founded preview before travel and an on-site appointment are arranged.

Limits

The tour is not a guaranteed area calculation and replaces neither technical due diligence nor fire safety, structural or safety inspections. Concealed areas remain invisible without suitable capture. During ongoing operation, people, licence plates and confidential information must be protected.
